"The US is not involved in the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines" - US tells UN Security Council
The US, in response to the Russian side's accusations, has declared that it is not involved in the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea
This was stated by the deputy head of the US Mission to the UN, Ambassador Richard Mills, during the meeting of the UN Security Council.
"The Russian delegation is once again spreading conspiracy theories and mass disinformation in this room," Mills said.
He emphasized that the US categorically denies any involvement in the gas leak on the Nord Stream gas pipelines.
Mills also accused Russia of trying to distract the world from its war against Ukraine.
Incidents in the Baltic Sea should be investigated by competent authorities, the US representative said. According to him, the UN Security Council should focus on stopping Russia's aggression.
"We must not allow the Russian Federation to continue to use the UN and this Council to spread lies and disinformation, which it has been doing since the beginning of the war in Ukraine," Mills said.
