Szijjártó behaves like a Kremlin puppet - Diplomat Chaly
The actions of the Hungarian leadership are now consciously anti-Ukrainian. Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó is behaving like a Kremlin puppet
Diplomat, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States (2015-2019) Valeriy Chaly said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"We used to think that Hungary was only concerned with the protection of Hungarians in Ukraine and language issues, but this is not the case. Szijjártó went to Moscow, received instructions, came back and said in Russian: "As long as you are at war, we do not want to take you into the EU. Sign a surrender with Russia, and then we'll see." They became the Kremlin's puppets. Foreign Minister Szijjártó personally behaves like a Kremlin puppet and repeats Kremlin narratives," Chaly said.
According to him, if such politicians are supported in Hungary, this will continue.
"I think that when we have real negotiations with Hungary, there will be no such people in their leadership. I am sure of this, because they will lead Hungary nowhere," Chaly added.
In general, the EU has demonstrated a very confident position in carrying out joint actions abroad, a common foreign and security policy. There is also a common defense security policy. In these two positions, the EU has shown a very large unity, except for those who support Russia, Chaly said.
