Spain will hand over two more HAWK air defense systems to Ukraine
The Minister of Defense of Spain said that her country will send two more HAWK air defense systems for Ukraine to be able to counter Russia’s invasion
This is reported by El Financiero with the reference to the Minister of Defense of Spain, Margarita Robles.
"Two more launchers will be sent. Because we were asked by NATO to help Ukraine," Robles said .
Spain will also hand over a battery of howitzers and additional generators to the Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
"We are firmly committed to Ukraine, because we understand that it is exercising its legitimate right to defend itself, having become a victim of an invasion and a brutal war," the Spanish defense minister added.
Twenty one Ukrainian military personnel are undergoing howitzer handling training this week in Almeria.
Nineteen additional Ukrainian soldiers were trained in recent days in the use of the Aspide anti-aircraft defense system, sent by Spain to Ukraine.
