Russia's full-scale war on Ukraine has claimed the lives of 450 children
As a result of Russia's full-scale aggression in Ukraine, more than 1,313 children have been injured, and 450 have been killed
This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office.
“As of the morning of December 18, 2022, more than 1,313 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the Russian Federation's full-scale armed aggression. According to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, 450 children were killed and more than 863 were injured of varying degrees of severity,” the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reported.
It is noted that the figures are not final - data collection is ongoing in liberated, temporarily occupied and populated areas where hostilities are taking place.
Children were most affected in the Donetsk region - 428, Kharkiv region - 267, Kyiv region - 117, Mykolaiv region - 80, Zaporizhzhia region - 78, Kherson region - 74, Chernihiv region - 68, Luhansk region - 65, and Dnipropetrovsk region - 34.
“Due to bombing and shelling by the Russian forces, 3,126 educational institutions were damaged. 337 of them were completely destroyed,” the Prosecutor General's Office added.
