‘Russia's existence is at stake’ – Medvedev spreads new narrative
Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) says Dmitry Medvedev has repeated hysterical narratives that the US wants Russia to fail, and has again resorted to nuclear threats
This was reported by the official Telegram channel of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD).
“If Russia stops the 'special military operation' without achieving victory, there will be no Russia. It will be torn apart. If the United States stops supplying weapons to the Kyiv regime, the war will end,” Dmitry Medvedev, deputy head of the Russian Security Council, noted.
The CCD noted that Medvedev's statement was a response to Joe Biden's speech, where he said that “if Russia stops the attack and withdraws from Ukraine, the war will end. If Ukraine stops, it will be the end of Ukraine.”
“Medvedev's interpretation of the US president's words is a manipulation aimed at the domestic population of the Russian Federation. In this way, Kremlin propagandists continue to convince Russians that the existence of Russia as a state is at stake, and everyone should join the 'holy' war against NATO,” the report says.
