Russians rehearse street battles and build defense in occupied Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region – Mayor Kovalenko
On the left bank of the Dnipro River in Nova Kakhovka, the occupation forces are building additional fortifications, moving them inland and rehearsing street battles
The mayor of Nova Kakhovka, Volodymyr Kovalenko, said this on Espreso TV.
"Almost every day, there are works related to the further strengthening of defensive structures on the left bank, which they probably arranged in terms of the upcoming counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. And these works have now moved deeper into the territory – they are digging trenches and erecting reinforced concrete structures," Kovalenko said.
The mayor noted that the occupying Russian troops are building a multi-level defense. In addition, according to locals, street fighting rehearsals are taking place in some settlements around Nova Kakhovka.
