Russia uses dead Ukrainian soldiers for transplantation, relatives of POWs suggest
Russia is returning the bodies of Ukrainian servicemen without internal organs, suggesting they may be used for transplantation
The families of Ukrainian prisoners of war said this during a meeting with Ukraine's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar, Ukrinform reports.
"Today we know for sure that we receive the bodies of those tortured in captivity during exchanges. We receive not only tortured bodies but also those without organs. This indicates that the black market for organ transplantation in Russia is operational and involves our prisoners of war. This must be reported to the world to stop this crime," said the wife of one of the prisoners of war.
In addition, the woman appealed to Turkish President Recep Erdogan to support the establishment of a mixed medical commission that would monitor the health of both Ukrainian and Russian prisoners of war.
- On June 14, Ukraine managed to return 254 fallen Ukrainian soldiers.
