On March 23, Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported an increase in the number of wounded.

"A child and two men were killed as a result of enemy attacks on Zaporizhzhia. Another 29 people were wounded," wrote Fedorov.

According to him, more than 400 private houses were damaged in the city, and 10 were completely destroyed.

Espreso correspondent Maryna Kliuieva reported on the situation in the city from the scene.

"Unfortunately, the number of casualties has increased, and we already know about three deaths. As for the houses, 40 houses were damaged in the massive attack on March 22. Earlier we knew about four houses that were completely destroyed - these were private households. Now, behind me on Sobornyi Avenue, one of the houses, which is located not far from the Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Plant, which was also hit, has windows and even doors blown out. Utilities are now working here, and various social services are also working on the ground. Also, various charities and organizations that provide humanitarian aid to people are already here, and they can get building materials for free," the correspondent said.

Earlier, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov reported 20 injured.

He also revealed details about the victims. One of them is a child.

"An 8-year-old girl and a 35-year-old man - daughter and father. They were killed by a Russian missile strike on the private sector of Zaporizhzhia," the official wrote.

"The life of a 62-year-old man, the driver of a trolleybus moving along the hydroelectric power plant dam, was cut short by the morning enemy attack," he added, adding that there were no passengers in the vehicle.

Earlier, the State Emergency Service reported 10 wounded.

"As a result of enemy attack, 10 people were wounded, 3 more are missing," the State Emergency Service said in a statement as of 10:38 a.m.

As of 12:36 a.m., the death toll from the Russian rocket attack on Zaporizhzhia increased to 3 people.

Before that, Fedorov reported eight wounded.

"There is one dead and eight wounded, infrastructure facilities, private houses and multi-storey buildings were destroyed and damaged," the head of the regional state administration wrote at 9:16 am, adding that it was the largest shelling of Zaporizhzhia in a year.

The official also reported two missing persons.

According to him, the Russian army fired almost 20 missiles at the city in a few hours. The Russians targeted critical infrastructure and hit civilian objects. Ten private houses and more than 35 multi-storey buildings were damaged. Rescuers are working at the sites of the hits. Utility companies are assessing the damage and the needs to eliminate the consequences.

Infrastructure facilities were destroyed and damaged, and vehicular traffic at the hydroelectric dam was blocked.

Later, Fedorov clarified that as a result of two missile attacks by the occupation forces on one of the city's streets, 4 houses were completely destroyed and more than 40 were damaged.

"As a result of enemy fire, 10 people were wounded, three more are missing," the State Emergency Service said in a statement as of 10:38 a.m. The rubble is being cleared.

As of 12:36 p.m., the death toll from the Russian rocket attack on Zaporizhzhia increased to 3 people.
