Almost all high-rise buildings in Kherson have been damaged by Russian shelling. The invaders also hit critical infrastructure almost every day
Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, told this on the air of We-Ukraine media outlet.
"In Kherson, perhaps a small number of high-rise buildings remained intact, almost all of them are damaged. Every day Kherson region lives with such attacks, in total, more than 26 thousand objects of civil, social and critical infrastructure have been damaged or destroyed, including 23,700 private and 1,100 multi-storey buildings," the official said.
According to the head of the Military Administration, the occupants fired at Kherson, Beryslav, Yantarne, Dniprovske, Kizomys, Antonivka, Sadove and Lvove yesterday. Two civilians were injured. The Russians attacked the private sector, destroying four private households and one apartment building. The shelling also damaged a gas pipeline.
"Critical infrastructure is being hit almost every day, these are not isolated incidents, it is a tactic of the Russian army. Of course, our specialists are quickly restoring the networks damaged by enemy fire and have learned to do it quickly over the past two years. For example, yesterday in the village of Bilozerska community, where the gas pipeline was damaged, they immediately shut it down and restored it. Today, gas supply has been restored to 79 out of 89 settlements, with 90% of consumers connected to the network," said Prokudin.
