Russian volunteers chose tactically and geographically competent area for raid on Belgorod region - military expert Zgurets
Defense Express CEO Serhiy Zgurets says that Russian volunteer units are now operating in the area where the Russian army could have been preparing for an offensive at one time
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
The military expert commented on the technical equipment with which Russian volunteers raided the territory of the Belgorod region on May 22: "When we talk about samples of military equipment, there were two tanks, one armored personnel carrier and nine armored vehicles. That is, this equipment was either used by the Freedom of Russia Legion or the Russian Volunteer Corps, which were raiding Russia and liberating their territory from the Putin regime."
Serhiy Zgurets recalled the statement of Polish General Błaszczak that Russia could launch an offensive using the territory between Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
"The places where these raids took place are extremely interesting. It is paradoxical that Russian volunteer units are now operating in the area where Russian troops could have been preparing for an offensive at one time. The volunteers passed through the "teeth of the dragon,” which did not stop them. Then they reached the bridgehead, which is bounded by two rivers, making it difficult for Russians to push these volunteer units out. These rivers form a triangle that is not easy to cross. We can say that the bridgehead was chosen very interestingly. If the raids had continued, the enemy would have had to find enough forces to knock out the volunteer battalions. In fact, the location was chosen tactically wisely. I hope that the raids will continue for some time and will be on a larger scale than before," said Zgurets.
