Russian special services have prepared assassination of Budanov and Reznikov

The head of the SBU, Vasyl Malyuk, shared the information in an interview with 1+1.

Malyuk said that Russia is constantly planning an attempt on the SBU head.

"We will not disclose all the information, as they also learn from their shameful performance. They work on eliminating not only me but many high-ranking officials in our country. Recently, there was an attempt to assassinate my colleague Kyrylo Budanov and Minister of Defense Reznikov," says the SBU head.

According to Malyuk, Russia sent to Ukraine an assassin. Before, it has given a "verification task" to the existing enemy agents in Ukraine to eliminate one military officer. However, the head of the SBU did not specify who exactly.

"Control of the crime execution was conducted, an imitation performed. They would send photo reports and had already received their payment. Then they realized that they could do the work and sent an assassin for a big case. To begin with, they paid USD 100,000 to start the assassination attempts, but we detained them. The assassin entered Ukraine through a third country. And it is not just this one case, there are more than 10 such incidents," added the head.

• On July 24, General Alnur Musayev, former head of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan, said on Espreso TV that from the first day of the war, Russia's goal was to destroy the leadership of Ukraine, and it wants to achieve it even more. Accordingly, the threat of an assassination attempt on Zelenskyy will increase.
