Russian troops suffer 300,000 personnel losses – General Staff

The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 31.10.23 were approximately:

Russians are trying to restore their position near Klishchiivka and surround Avdiivka, the AFU are on the defensive

About 60 combat clashes occurred at the frontlines, according to the report. 

In the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed. 

In the northeastern border area, Russian forces maintain a grouping of troops covering the state border, conducting active sabotage activities in the border areas to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increasing the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful assault operations with the support of aviation near Synkivka, Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 2 attacks there.

In the Lyman direction, Russians did not conduct assault actions. 

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops also tried to regain lost ground near Klishchiivka, where the Ukrainian military repelled 3 attacks. The Ukrainian Defense Forces continued their assault operations south of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on Russian troops, and consolidating their positions.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops try to surround Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the defense, inflicting numerous losses on Russian forces. Russia’s offensive actions near Avdiivka and 2 more settlements in the Donetsk region were unsuccessful; the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled over 5 attacks.

In the Marinka direction, Russian troops carried out unsuccessful attacks near Marinka and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region. Ukrainian soldiers repelled over 15 attacks.

In the Shakhtarsk and Zaporizhzhia directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled the assault near Staromayorske, Donetsk region.

In the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defence Forces conduct counter-battery operations, destroy Russian depots, and successfully strike at the enemy's rear.

The Ukrainian Defence Forces are conducting an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying forces, consolidating their positions, and exhausting Russian troops.

Russians used drones and missiles to strike Ukraine. Ukrainian air defenses successfully neutralized all Shahed UAVs

In total, the enemy launched 7 missile strikes and 90 air attacks, along with 82 MLRS attacks on the Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas. These Russian attacks resulted in casualties among civilians. They also caused damage to private homes and other civilian infrastructure.

Furthermore, last night, Russian forces again targeted Ukraine, deploying two Shahed-136/131 attack drones and one Kh-59 guided air missile. Once again, our air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed all enemy drones.

The airstrikes affected various areas, including Stohnii, Petropavlivka, Senkove, Pershotravneve in the Kharkiv region; Spirne, Vyimka, Andriivka, Kurdyumivka, Arkhanhelske, Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Semenivka, Stepove, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Sievierne, Orlivka, Marinka, Oleksandropil, Katerynivka, Novomykhailivka, and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region; Novodarivka, Novodanylivka, Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region; Novoberyslav, Zmiivka, Kozatske, Ivanivka, Beryslav, Mykolaivka, Antonivka, and Tyahynka in the Kherson region.

Artillery fire affected over 110 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.

The Defense Forces conducted more than 20 airstrikes on Russian troop concentrations

In the past day, the Defense Forces' aircraft conducted 19 airstrikes on areas where enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated, and one strike targeted the enemy's anti-aircraft missile system. Additionally, Ukraine's air defense successfully neutralized 12 attack drones, 2 guided air-to-air missiles, and 6 reconnaissance drones.

Missile units targeted enemy air defenses, 5 troop concentration areas, 9 artillery positions, and 6 other critical enemy targets.

• On the night of October 31, Russia launched a coordinated aerial attack on Ukrainian territory using tactical aircraft and missiles.
