Russian forces find new ways to intimidate local civilians in occupied Kherson region
In occupied Kherson region, invading Russian forces are now kidnapping and beating teenagers and women. They have also organized repressions in one of the villages to open a school
Oleh Baturin, a journalist from the Kherson region, said this on Espreso TV.
“The occupying forces finally opened the school year in the village of Tavrychanka on March 9. This is a large village in the left-bank Kherson region. They managed to open a school and they reported very cheerfully. There are much fewer children there than before,” he said.
According to Baturin, in order to launch this school, the occupying forces organized repressions in the village.
“They literally persuaded every teacher to come to work. Those who refused were taken to the fields with bags over their heads and simply left there. People were forced to walk home for a day, two days without a phone, not knowing the way. In other villages, there is evidence that teenagers are abducted, beaten and tortured. They are accused of helping the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Local women suffer a lot, in some villages they are taken away at night, beaten and released in the morning. New methods of intimidation are being used in the occupied Kherson region,” he said.
