Russian forces deploy Guardsmen to control populated areas in southern Ukraine
The Kremlin is increasing the presence of the Russian Guard in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories in the south.

Russian troops cannot establish full control over the occupied Ukrainian territories, so they have to bring in additional forces of the Russian Guard: “the enemy is forced to respond and spend more resources.”
500 Russian security forces have arrived in Berdiansk, they will patrol the occupied settlements. However, the work of the Ukrainian underground continues: as noted by the Center of National Resistance, recently in Berdiansk, a transformer substation that supplied the Kosa microdistrict, where the enemy units were located, was blown up.
They also reported damage to Russian propaganda billboards in Melitopol: on December 23, they were defaced with black paint.
