Russian business and political ‘elites’ seek contacts with Ukraine and West – Ukraine’s Intelligence
Representatives of Russia's business and political elites are looking for contacts with Ukraine and the West to get guarantees of their own security after Russia's defeat
Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence, said this during a national telethon, the agency reported on Telegram.
According to him, representatives of the Russian "elites" fear for their future and therefore are looking for contacts with Ukraine and other countries to obtain possible security guarantees after Russia's defeat.
"They are definitely looking for ways out. And not only with Ukraine. The geography in which they are trying to get personal security guarantees for themselves, for their wealth, for their families is quite wide," Yusov said.
He emphasized that in this way they are trying to avoid prosecution in the future.
"At the moment, this is mostly true for the conditional business elite, but there are also representatives of the political segment of the Kremlin's top residents. This process will only gain momentum," Yusov is convinced.
He predicted that the number of such contacts would increase.
"Ukraine, of course, uses every tool and the most creative approaches to speed up the liberation of Ukraine's territories and bring the aggressor state to justice. Many contacts and operations are being implemented that we cannot talk about now. But after the victory, believe me, there will be a lot of interesting things," Yusov promised.
