According to him, these are important funds that will help the government of Ukraine finance the deficit, including social programs to help Ukrainians.

Shmyhal said that the total amount of financial support from Canada since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion is almost 7 billion Canadian dollars.

"We are grateful to the Canadian people and government, who remain our reliable allies in these difficult times," the Prime Minister summarized.

Nineteen Leopard 2A4s are slated for production at the Santa Barbara Sistemas plant in Alcalá de Guadaira (Seville). The delivery will be divided into two batches: ten battle tanks are expected to be delivered by the end of June, followed by nine more in September.

The order was given by the head of the Spanish government, Pedro Sanchez, who, together with Defense Minister Margarita Robles, met with representatives of major Spanish defense companies. During the meeting, Sanchez confirmed the government's strong condemnation of Russia's aggression against Ukraine. And it is within this context that the new delivery will take place.

Attack on Belgorod region with Vampire MLRS

On the morning of March 21, the Russian Ministry of Defense accused Ukraine of an alleged attack on the Belgorod region using Vampire MLRS.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reports.

"At about 8:00 am Moscow time, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to launch a terrorist attack on targets in the Russian Federation using the RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket system was prevented," the statement said.

It is noted that Russian air defense forces "traditionally" destroyed 10 rockets in the air over the Belgorod region.

Meanwhile, the Russian propaganda outlet TASS reports on the alleged damage to the Belgorod Arena building, allegedly due to shelling.

"The building's glazing and part of its facade were damaged. A shell crater was found near the arena," the outlet wrote.

Later, the governor of Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov said that there were allegedly 5 victims. Also, more than 30 apartments were damaged in the city. In one of the apartment buildings, shell fragments landed on the upper floors, and there is a threat of a balcony collapse.

There are also damages to the power line in the city, temporarily leaving about 5,000 residents without power supply. According to preliminary data, 10 cars were damaged.

In the region, 5 private households and 2 cars were damaged.

Ukraine's parliament adopts bill to strengthen social protection of military

Ukrainian MPs Iryna Friz and Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported the information.

In the second reading, 296 MPs supported the bill.

The purpose of the draft law is to improve the mechanisms for ensuring certain rights of servicemen, in particular, the right to information, medical care, leave, as well as the right of police officers to a one-time financial assistance in the event of death, and to determine disability.

For the second reading, the document removed the provisions that proposed to excessively restrict the rights of military personnel to freedom of speech and publication of information online.

The draft law allows servicemen to be treated for up to 12 months, including abroad, without the need to undergo a personal military medical examination after 4 months.

The law stipulates that in the event of the death of a serviceman, the family is entitled to receive a cash payment of UAH 15 million.

"The provisions on additional excessive regulation of the import of humanitarian aid were also rejected. It should be regulated by the relevant legislation, and it is wrong and unacceptable to impose restrictions under the beautiful sign of 'social security for the military'," Friz wrote.

The bill also states that priests of the so-called Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) cannot be military chaplains.
