Ukrainian strike on Russia’s Borisoglebsk airfield destroys unidentified containers - Defense Express
On the night of October 3, Ukrainian drones attacked the Russian military airfield Borisoglebsk, located 300 kilometers from Ukraine's border. This airfield is reportedly used for Su-35 and Su-34 aircraft that conduct strikes on Ukraine with guided bombs
As noted by Defense Express, the goal of this attack appears to be to damage the aircraft and infrastructure, preventing Russia from using the airfield for further strikes.
On October 4, Radio Liberty released satellite images showing the aftermath of the strike on Borisoglebsk.
According to Defense Express, while the images do not clearly show the destruction of Russian aircraft or munitions depots, they do reveal that unidentified boxes or containers near the runway were hit and burned.
The publication noted that the unknown boxes or containers could potentially hold rare munitions or valuable equipment for radio or electronic intelligence.
“Currently, the satellite images do not give a complete picture of the enemy's losses from the strike on Borisoglebsk airfield. However, there are reasons to believe that the Ukrainian Defense Forces' attack on the military airfield was successful, and the losses for the Russian army could be significant,” Defense Express wrote.
