Captain Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, told about the damage sustained by Russian ships as a result of Ukrainian attacks

He shared the information on Espreso TV.

"Fifteen units of their damaged ships are currently being repaired, which is quite significant. The units are different, and they periodically restore them. While many units have already undergone repair, it's not always explicitly mentioned. But this is a fairly large number of ships that have already been under repairs due to combat damage and are undergoing repairs now, because, unfortunately, it is not always possible to send these units to the former flagship of the Black Sea Fleet," Pletenchuk said, referring to the Moskva cruiser sunk by the Ukrainian Armed Forces earlier.

According to the military, sometimes Russia manages to transport damaged ships to their designated bases for repairs.

"Sometimes, the repair outcomes mirror those of the Minsk or Rostov-on-Don submarine, while at other times, damaged ships are promptly transported to Novorossiysk. For instance, the Pavel Derzhavin managed to reach Novorossiysk independently after sustaining damage twice, whereas the Nikolai Muru, which came to its aid from Sevastopol, required a tugboat for a tugboat to return to Crimea. Of course, they have to restore these units, because the ship and boat fleet is the most valuable thing in any army," summarized the Navy spokesman.

  • Ukrainian guerrillas discovered a sunken Russian Tarantula ship in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol. It was previously hit by naval drones a few weeks ago.
  • On January 24, guerrillas reported that a Russian large landing ship had recently arrived in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol. It is likely that it will be put on combat duty.
