Ukrainian army confirms destruction of Russian munitions depot in Crimea

"It has been confirmed that on the afternoon of January 4, the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit a munition depot near the village of Pervomaiske in the temporarily occupied Crimea," the statement says.

Ukraine's attack on Russian military facilities in Crimea

On January 4, explosions were reported in the temporarily occupied Crimea in Sevastopol and Yevpatoria. The Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed the hits, and the Russian Defense Ministry reported shooting down 10 missiles.

The so-called 'governor' of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, said that Russian air defense was allegedly operating in the city and that several targets were shot down, and shrapnel was recorded falling.

The attack on the temporarily occupied Crimea and the hitting of military targets were indirectly confirmed by the commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk.

He noted that on January 2, the Russian ‘Ministry of Lies’ reported that Russian missiles had hit "a bunker with the Ukrainian Armed Forces Deputy Commander-in-Chief and nine other Ukrainian generals.”

"Greetings to the occupiers in Crimea! I am waiting for the same epic report from the enemy propaganda from Sevastopol and Yevpatoria on January 4 and once again thank the Air Force pilots and all those who planned the operation for their impeccable combat work," the general emphasized.

Also, agents of the Atesh guerrilla movement conducted additional reconnaissance of a military communications unit near Yevpatoria, which was hit by a missile attack.

"Agents report the following information: the control center responsible for a secure channel of communication with the Kremlin, including the coordination of air defense of the entire peninsula, was hit. The radar was destroyed," the statement says.
