Ukrainian army on Australian APCs kill civilians in Kursk region: fakes of foreign media
Ukrainian Centre for Countering Disinformation has published a selection of anti-Ukrainian fakes that were launched by the world media on August 22
According to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, two disinformation stories were published on August 22.
Disinformation: Irish journalist Chay Bowes wrote on his page in X: ‘11 years ago, a brave Ukrainian Politician stood in the Kiev parliament and warned what the US was preparing for Ukraine. Oleg Tsaryov's speech in the Rada on November 20, 2013 outlined exactly what was to come. Civil War, destruction and terror.’
Refutation: Oleg Tsaryov is a collaborator, separatist, Ukrainophobe and former Ukrainian politician with a pro-Russian stance who fled to Russia and was declared wanted in 2014. By retransmitting his anti-Ukrainian and propagandistic statements, Chay Bowes is spreading Kremlin propaganda.
Disinformation: Australian blogger Semyon Boykov, aka Aussie Cossack, wrote on his X page: ‘Ukrainian invaders driving AUSTRALIAN supplied Bushmaster vehicles are killing civilians in the Kursk region. This is a war crime and Albanese is an accomplice.’
Refutation: The Australian blogger repeats Russian propaganda fakes about the alleged killing of civilians in the Kursk region by the Ukrainian military using Western weapons. The goal is to discredit the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Australia's military assistance to Ukraine.
- Earlier, Russian propagandists spread the fake that the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kursk region shot two people who were evacuating across the river.
