Ukraine returns bodies of 58 fallen defenders
On Friday, February 16, the bodies of 58 more fallen Ukrainian defenders were returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine
The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reports.
It is noted that the bodies of the fallen soldiers were returned thanks to the interaction of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War with the Joint Center at the SBU, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Armed Forces, the State Emergency Service, and other representatives of the country's security and defense structures.
The Coordination Headquarters also thanked the International Committee of the Red Cross for its assistance in returning the bodies of the fallen defenders.
The ministry added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will ensure the transportation of repatriated bodies and remains to designated state specialized institutions for transfer to law enforcement officials and forensic experts to identify the victims. Later, the bodies of the fallen soldiers will be returned to their families for burial.

On December 22, 2023, Ukraine managed to return the bodies of 66 fallen soldiers.
