Russian troops attempt to breach Ukrainian defenses in Zaporizhzhia region - Ukraine's General Staff

Ukraine's General Staff reported the information.

Border towns in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions continue to face heavy shelling from Russia. Today, a Kh-59 missile struck the town of Konotop.

The Kharkiv region is under constant attack by Russian aircraft. Since the start of the day, Russia has launched 11 airstrikes from Belgorod and Shebekino, targeting Ukrainian settlements such as Cherniaky, Vesele, Lyptsi, Mali Prokhody, Hlyboke, Karaichne, and Pytomnyk. The city of Derhachi was also hit by an Iskander-M missile.

In addition, in the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces attempted six unsuccessful attacks near Hlyboke and Vovchansk.

In the Kupyansk sector, the Russian army has attacked Ukrainian positions near Berestove and Hlushkivka six times. One attack has ended, and five more are ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, the occupying Russian army attacked near Torske, Novoserhiivka, Makiivka, and the Serebryansky forest area. Ukrainian troops repelled three of these attacks, with one still ongoing near Makiivka.

In the Siversk sector, there were seven Russian attacks today around Verkhniokamianske, Vyimka, Spirne, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, and Pereizne. Ukrainian forces repelled six attacks, and one battle is still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russia is intensifying its operations. Since the start of the day, Russian forces have launched 22 assaults near Bondarne, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Mynkivka, Vasiukivka, Hryhorivka, Kalynivka, Bila Hora, Ivanivka, and Klishchiivka. Ukrainian defenders repelled nine attacks, and 13 more are still ongoing. 

In the Toretsk sector, Russian forces launched nine attacks near Toretsk, Zalizne, New York, and Pivnichne. Eight of these battles are complete, with one still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russian army attacked settlements including Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Novoselivka Persha, Panteleimonivka, New York, Lozuvatske, Tymofiivka, Prohres, Vovche, Yasnobrodivka, and Umanske. Ukrainian forces repelled 17 of these attacks, and nine battles are still ongoing.

In the Kurakhove sector, Russia conducted ten attacks near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Paraskoviivka. Seven battles have concluded, with three still ongoing.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses near Robotyne but were unsuccessful.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russia made two unsuccessful attempts to attack Ukrainian positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River.

In other parts of the front, the situation remains largely unchanged.
