The Ukrainian Defense Forces are not confined to defensive lines and do not remain static, especially along the dynamic line of contact from Vovchansk

Yuriy Fedorenko, commander of the Achilles UAV battalion of the 92nd separate assault brigade of Ukrainian Armed Forces, shared the information on Espreso TV.

"The defense forces are doing the impossible. But unfortunately, the enemy is still able to replenish its losses for assault and attack operations and is trying to reach the aim they set for themselves, in particular, to fully occupy the town of Vovchansk,” he said.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have stabilized the situation almost completely, Fedorenko said.

"We are working hard to improve the situation along the front line in order to drive the Russian troops out of their positions. It is clear from public sources, including Russian propaganda outlets, that the enemy is suffering significant losses in manpower, both killed and wounded. Hospitals operating in Belhorod and neighboring towns are filled to capacity,” said the commander.

"It is important that Ukrainian Defense Forces have been given the opportunity to destroy the Russians with a wide range of firepower on Russia's territory," he noted.

"This has already yielded its first results. We can analyze that the number of attacks by S-300 and S-400 systems on nearby settlements in Kharkiv has decreased significantly. The enemy also suffered losses in lightly armored and armored vehicles, air defense systems and the previously mentioned systems. This work continues in a systematic and powerful manner,” added Fedorenko.

  • The Ukrainian General Staff reported that on June 5, in the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces tried to drive Ukrainian soldiers out of their positions five times. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled four Russian attacks.
