Russian army complains about ineffectiveness of air defense systems against Ukrainian drones - Atesh guerrilla movement
The Atesh guerrilla movement reported that Russian militants complain about the malfunctioning and ineffectiveness of air defense systems against Ukrainian drones
This was reported by Atesh.
It is noted that a serviceman from an air defense unit notes that the leadership has begun using old Kub SAMs, which "perform very poorly."
"Apparently, this equipment was withdrawn from old stocks, and the missiles for this anti-aircraft missile system deteriorated during storage in warehouses. Most often, they simply cannot hit the target, even if it is detected," the report says.
In addition, most of the operational air defense systems were sent to the front, while faulty or worn-out ones remained in the rear cities. According to the militant, 65-80% of all Russian anti-aircraft missile systems are malfunctioning. At the same time, most operators have not received proper training, and trained specialists are dying in the war in Ukraine.
- The Institute of War Studies suggested that the recent attack by Ukrainian drones on an oil refinery in the Republic of Tatarstan indicates a turning point in Ukraine's strategy of striking at Russia's deep rear.
