Russia tries to evict indigenous people from occupied Ukrainian territories, bring its puppets there
Oleksandr Samoilenko, head of the Kherson Regional Council, says that in the temporarily occupied territories, Russians are holding Ukrainians accountable for calling the war a war
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"All the people who stayed in the temporarily occupied territories are under constant pressure. Every day people living in those territories are exposed to danger. First, it is a constant terror. Secondly, even those who have accepted Russian passports or so-called Russian citizenship are not protected from this terror. Almost every day we receive information about illegal searches and detentions. Sometimes it gets to absurdity: people can be detained just for speaking Ukrainian with charges against them," emphasized Samoilenko.
According to the head of the Kherson Regional Council, the invaders have already reached the point where Ukrainians are being prosecuted for calling this bloody and terrible war a war.
"There is also a lot of information that the Russians are trying to evict people from this territory by any means, I mean the indigenous people of the Kherson region. They are trying to evict them by intimidation and plan to bring in "right" Russians, who, in their opinion, will form a decent basis for the residents," Samoilenko added.
- On June 5, it was reported that on the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson region, Russians intensified checks of Ukrainians' cell phones and correspondence, and activists of the Yellow Ribbon Movement gave advice on how to protect themselves.
- In the temporarily occupied Nova Kakhovka in the Kherson region, Russian invaders are distributing expired food to local residents under the guise of humanitarian aid.
