The Russian Defense Ministry reported the information.
"During the past night, attempts by the Kyiv regime to carry out terrorist attacks using aircraft-type UAVs on targets in the Russian Federation were thwarted," the statement says.
It is noted that Russian air defense reportedly shot down and intercepted 24 drones, including 6 over the Rostov region, 5 over the Bryansk region, 4 over the Belgorod region, 3 over the Ryazan region, 1 over the Astrakhan region, and 5 over the Krasnodar region.
Russian media outlet Astra, citing local residents, reports explosions in the Dyagilevo area in Ryazan, where an airbase is located.
