Russia launches 900 bomb strikes on Ukraine in one week
In the past week, Russia has launched over 900 bomb strikes, approximately 30 missile attacks, and nearly 500 Shahed drones against Ukraine. The majority of Russia’s assaults have targeted civilian areas and critical infrastructure
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned Russia's relentless drone assaults on Ukraine, which intensified over the past week. Last night alone, Russian forces launched over 50 strike drones, contributing to a total of more than 900 bombs, approximately 30 missiles, and nearly 500 Shaheds directed at various regions across the country.
The majority of these attacks have primarily targeted civilian populations and critical infrastructure.
Zelenskyy emphasized the urgent need for international support to bolster Ukraine's defense capabilities. "All of these attacks would have been impossible if we had sufficient support from the world in crucial areas," he stated. He highlighted the necessity of long-range capabilities for security, effective sanctions to hinder Russia's access to critical components for drone and missile production—particularly in microelectronics—and political measures that could undermine Russia's resolve to continue its aggression.
"Ukraine deserves the same strong security as all our partners in the free world," Zelenskyy concluded, calling for a unified response to safeguard Ukraine's sovereignty and stability.
