Russia has powerful weapons stockpiles in Crimea: OC South on threat of missile attacks
Operational Command South’s press center head Natalia Humeniuk says that the Crimean peninsula is a powerful hub for storing Russian weapons
She said this on Espreso TV.
"I want to emphasize that more than a month ago, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine emphasized to the public, and I will remind you again, that due to Russia's difficult situation, for example, the lack of A-50 as a powerful air reconnaissance center, the enemy was forced to temporarily stop air attacks using air and sea-based missiles. So, the Russians were looking for an alternative. At that time, the intelligence stated that the Russian army was actively deploying tactical missile systems along the Ukrainian border with Russia and in the temporarily occupied territories," commented Humeniuk.
Natalia Humeniuk noted that the number of these tactical systems and missiles that Russia has accumulated, for example, on the Crimean peninsula, is not currently disclosed.
"It should be noted that the Crimean peninsula is a powerful hub for storing Russian weapons. So, the invaders have a lot of stockpiles there," she summarized.
