Orban, Trump, and his new Vice President Vance work on Ukraine's surrender plan - Piontkovsky

Political analyst Andrey Piontkovsky says that the Trump-Putin plan in the Russian war against Ukraine is to fix an 'honorable draw', the essence of which is Ukraine's surrender and territorial division

He said this in an interview with Antin Borkovskyi, host of the Studio West program on Espreso TV.

"A very important indicator of the election is Trump's choice of Vice President, James David Vance. We remember well his activities in blocking aid to Ukraine. Vance hates Ukraine more than anyone else in the US Congress. For the last five months, he has been on TV and in congressional committees spreading all kinds of lies and hatred towards Ukraine. He said that aid was being stolen, that 20 parties were banned in the totalitarian state of Ukraine, and that the Ukrainian authorities were imprisoning prominent Christian leaders. Vance influenced Republican fundamentalists, who are quite numerous in Congress. In fact, he did not add any electoral advantages to Trump," commented Andrey Piontkovsky.

According to him, for the majority of cattle who support Trump, Ukraine does not exist at all. They hardly know where it is located. And as for the Republican establishment, it is very strongly in favor of supporting Ukraine.

"So Vance's appointment shows how dependent Trump is in this position. It is no coincidence that Orban, Trump, and his new Vice President Vance are a team that is working hard on a plan to surrender Ukraine. Trump's so-called 24-hour plan is essentially Putin's plan - to force Ukraine to give up territory and agree to a ceasefire without any guarantees for Ukrainian security. The stories about how Trump will put pressure on Putin are an empty seasoning for the essence of the Trump-Putin plan. And the essence is the same: to secure the most real gains possible. Putin is seeking this because the war he declared on 24 February 2022, "Kyiv in three days and NATO, take your stuff, get out of here," is a war Putin has lost. He needs to secure some kind of 'honorable draw' that he can sell to his hinterland people. And this 'honorable draw' is the capitulation of Ukraine and its territorial division," the political scientist summed up.

  • On July 20, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with US presidential candidate Donald Trump.
  • Former US President Donald Trump, after speaking with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that he wanted to "bring peace to the world" and bring Ukraine and Russia to the negotiating table.
