Ukraine targets Russian military airfield, power substation, and oil depot, igniting fires in 3 regions
On the night of July 9, fires broke out at the Akhtubinsk military airfield in Russia's Astrakhan region, a power substation in Rostov region and an oil depot in Kalach-na-Donu, Volgograd region
This was reported by Ukrainska Pravda, citing sources in Ukraine's Security Service and the Defence Intelligence.
In particular, during the UAV attack on the Akhtubinsk military airfield, Russian Telegram channels initially reported the operation of the Pantsyr SAM and a series of strong explosions. However, this information was later deleted.
According to the source, this deletion is indicative of a successful attack, as Russian authorities typically clean up the information space when significant military facilities are hit.
Earlier, Russians reported a massive drone attack on the night of July 9. Air defenses purportedly shot down 38 UAVs. In one district of the Rostov region, transformers at a power substation caught fire, and there is a fire at an oil depot near Volgograd, as per the Russian Ministry of Defence.

In addition, Russian Telegram channels report that a fire broke out at a local oil depot in Kalach-na-Donu, Volgograd region, after a drone attack.
