Kremlin's "peace formula": Why is Ukraine punished, not the USA?
Since there have been so many conversations and rumors about "peace talks," I will say my own
Is it just me, or does the Kremlin's "peace formula" fundamentally lack logic? Look: the Russians claim they're threatened by America and that the war in Ukraine is Russia's war with the United States. Fine, let’s imagine that's the case. Then tell me, why on earth are the Russians demanding the disarmament of Ukraine, not the USA, as a condition for "peace talks"? Why do they demand concessions from Ukraine, not America?
If the reason for Russia's attack on Ukraine was a threat from the US, then Moscow should be demanding punishment and restrictions for America, not for Ukraine.
If any pointless negotiations begin, this illogicality in Russia's position needs to be highlighted.
Why are negotiations with Russia basically hopeless now? Because, in the conditions of this war, negotiations are only possible about someone's complete defeat and surrender. Everything else is just talk, with no chance of implementation in real life, especially over the long term.
Ultimately, these will be negotiations about the defeat of the Russian Federation and how to organize the space from dozens of new states that will immediately emerge on its ruins.
