How should Ukraine talk to European right?
A huge mistake of Ukraine is that it has not yet been able to properly establish a dialogue with the new right around the world, which is now gaining more and more political weight
Orban and Fico would never have dared to work openly against Ukraine if we, following the example of the Russians, had systematically communicated with the European and American right-wing communities, explained how popular right-wing ideas are in Ukraine, how much we have in common in our views on the most pressing contemporary issues.
But even despite the work of the Russian Federation and our passivity, such prominent right-wing leaders in the world as Johnson, Sunak, the Italian Meloni and the Argentine Milei are favourably disposed towards us. Despite the outright ideological curtsies of Ukrainian officials towards their ardent ideological opponents.
Our potential is enormous. Ukraine, as a population and territory, is much more in line with the new right's ideas of how things should be than the average European country. In many regions, we have preserved the appropriate way of life, folk and religious traditions, and the electorate supports patriots, which is a priority. And if we compare similar parameters with Russia, which pretends to be a spiritual alternative to the West, Ukraine beats it with a crushing score. The institutions of the European family, faith and military culture are much higher and more attractive in Ukraine, and the heritage of our ancestors is much richer and more interesting.
Ukraine, after all, is actually an island of freedom in the modern world, which various types of dictatorships — both classical and modern — are trying to conquer, but still failing miserably.
Russia, on the other hand, is a fake that uses money and deception to try to be liked and influence around the world. The Kremlin wants to unscrupulously appear to be "its own" to both the right and the left, cynically bribing both, hiding its simple tyrannical nature without any ideas inside.
Today, the Ukrainian right is mostly at the front, in the forefront. Azov, the 3rd Assault Brigade, the Brotherhood, the 14th Regiment, the 49th Carpathian Sich, and so on (sorry, I don't know if I should name them all openly). These are military units that emerged thanks to ideology and community, and they are now star units on a global scale. A huge number of right-wing guys are fighting in numerous brigades and are individual stars, heroes. Unfortunately, too many of them have already sacrificed their lives for their ideas (may they rest in peace!).
So are we effectively using the glory of the Ukrainian right-wing movement? Are we using this tool to its fullest potential to master the latest political trends and promote Ukraine and its interests around the world?
Isn't it time for the political leadership to actively engage in using our right-wing to benefit us all? Not only as trained and motivated soldiers, but also, for example, as "people's diplomats" through the special services and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and in other effective ways, to promote Ukraine in the relevant political environments, recruit volunteers, etc.
The world is changing, something has to be done; our enemies are ahead of us in adapting.
