How long will Russia actively attack on different frontline areas: Ukrainian colonel suggests
Ukrainian Colonel Vladyslav Selezniov believes that the Russian army will continue to attack on a large scale in different parts of the frontline for another week or two
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
“Usually, large-scale offensive operations can last from three to five months. Given that the enemy launched an offensive campaign in October last year, and General Budanov said that by early March the offensive potential of Putin's army would be used up, the general was right. But this did not happen, because the enemy used all of its untouched supplies and resources, even at the strategic level, to crush Ukrainian defense as much as possible. To push our troops forward, gain a foothold and seize more Ukrainian territory,” Selezniov emphasized.
According to the military expert, the Russians realize that they now have a certain “window of opportunity” due to the long delay in military and technical assistance from their partners.
“Only now we are starting to receive the first batches of weapons and ammunition. And this means that the ratio of resources is definitely not in our favor.” The Russians are currently trying to take full advantage of this opportunity. That's why they are pushing and shoving, using the last thing they have left. The Russians realize that they will not have such opportunities in two weeks, because we will have full parity on the battlefield. Most likely, for a week, maybe two, the enemy will continue to attack on a large scale in different parts of the front, and then will be forced to go into an operational pause,” Selezniov suggested.
- The pace of Russian offensive operations in the northern Kharkiv region has probably slowed down over the past 24 hours. Russia is using new tactics in this area.
