Artem Lysohor, head of the Luhansk regional military administration, disclosed this information.
According to Lysohor, the perpetrator was formerly associated with the Russian assault unit "Storm Z" and had a history of multiple convictions for offenses like robberies, thefts, and traffic accidents prior to the full-scale invasion by Russia.
He was granted freedom for his involvement in hostilities.
Lysohor remarked, "Now he has a new opportunity to be back on the front lines - he wasted no time seizing it."
- On April 17, it was reported that the same Russian soldier, who had previously fired upon a civilian vehicle during the conflict near Bucha, resulting in the driver's death, was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
