"Unfortunately, due to Russian aggression, Ukraine is losing its most valuable asset - its people. Among them are journalists and media workers," said Rostyslav Karandieiev from the Ministry of Culture.
According to the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU), 91 media representatives have died during the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Another 30 media workers are currently in captivity.
Karandieiev added that journalists have an extremely important mission - to document the events of the Russian-Ukrainian war and to deliver truthful information to the world.
