Russia has over 60 boats and ships in Black Sea – Captain Ryzhenko
Captain Andriy Ryzhenko, a reserve captain of the Ukrainian Navy, says that despite the loss of the Cyclone missile carrier, Russia still can launch over 80 Kalibr missiles in total
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
“There are just under 60 Russian warships and boats in the Black Sea. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, there were over 80 of them, including those that were transferred from the Northern and Baltic Fleets of the Russian Federation. Missile attacks remain the biggest threat to us. Of course, the Russians are not using the fleet as they used to, but they still attack the territory of Ukraine. It is also worth recalling that Russia has four more Kalibr carriers in the Caspian Sea. Taking into account all the missile carriers in the Black and Caspian Seas, the Russians can simultaneously launch up to 80 Kalibr missiles,” Ryzhenko explained.
Captain emphasized that the Caspian Sea remains an important logistical route for Russia.
“The Caspian Sea is very important for Russians. We know that a large amount of military cargo is transported through the Caspian Sea. Therefore, they are trying to keep the Caspian Sea under their control. By the way, Russia's first strikes on Syria were also carried out from the Caspian Sea,” he added.
