Decade of confrontation: Diplomat Chalyi predicts end of Russia's war on Ukraine
Diplomat Valeriy Chalyi predicts that Russia's war on Ukraine will end in line with outcomes on the battlefield
He shared his views on Espreso TV.
"Since the 2022 negotiations in Istanbul at the invasion's onset, Russia has attempted to destabilize Ukraine's internal situation. Despite negotiations, nothing has changed. However, Russia's actions suggest unseen serious internal issues. They may be testing the situation, leveraging potential negotiations and agreements," Chalyi stated.
Chalyi suggests that the Kremlin may spread negotiation-related narratives to disrupt Ukraine.
"I believe any discussions or negotiations with Russia are obsolete. Force is their language. While Russia may continue discussing negotiations to pressure Ukraine through partners, I don't foresee this war ending with any agreements. This phase of the long-standing conflict will conclude without them, likely reflecting battlefield outcomes," he emphasized.
