Exposions in Sevastopol is another reminder that Crimea is Ukraine - Ukrainian MP
Ukrainian MP Akhtem Chiygoz stressed that Crimea is still Ukrainian territory according to international borders. He warned Russians not to choose Crimea for vacations and not to expect a peaceful tourist season
He shared this view on Espreso TV.
"After the initial panic caused by the explosions in Crimea subsides, Russians start thinking they can visit the peninsula and relax. However, they need to remember that Crimea is part of Ukraine. When we remind them that this is our land, they panic again. They attempted to develop occupied Abkhazia by running trains and organizing tours, but it remained unsafe for 30 years. Russians may desire a vacation, but we cannot allow them to peacefully enjoy our Crimea," Chiygoz said.
The MP also called for the destruction of the Crimean Bridge.
"I've publicly stated several times that some of our servicemen's claims that the Crimean Bridge is no longer used for military purposes are misleading. This kind of talk affects Russians who think they can vacation in Crimea. This bridge must be destroyed. Crimea must be cut off from Russia by all means," he added.
- On Sunday, June 23, Russians reported hearing explosions in various areas of Sevastopol. They claimed that air defense shot down four ATACMS missiles, with two casualties.
