Russia threatens US with direct military confrontation of nuclear powers

The Russian Embassy in the US made such a statement.

Thus, the Russians reacted to the statement of the White House that Russia's actions do not correspond to the status of a responsible nuclear power.

"Today, the United States continues to act without regard for the security and interests of other countries, which contributes to the increase of nuclear risks. American steps to further engage in a hybrid confrontation with Russia in the context of the Ukrainian crisis threaten an unpredictable escalation and a direct military clash of nuclear states," the embassy threatens.

The Russians reminded the US that they dropped nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, and are now supposedly destroying the arms control and non-proliferation system.

"We suggest that Washington take a closer look at its own policy in the nuclear sphere instead of making unfounded accusations against those countries whose views on the world system do not coincide with the American ones," the message reads.
