Russia shells Mykolaiv region, destroying houses and injuring 7 people
On December 31, Russian troops attacked Ukraine's Mykolaiv region, launching 6 Iskander missiles at Mykolaiv. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 7 UAVs over the region
Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolayiv regional military administration, reported the information.
At 2:00 p.m. on December 31, the Russian military hit Mykolaiv with 6 Iskander-type missiles: 2 residential buildings were destroyed, another 12 were damaged, as well as 3 educational institutions. About 20 buildings were damaged in a garage cooperative, and a fire broke out on its territory.
According to Vitaliy Kim, 7 people were injured in the attack.
The head informed on the shelling of the Mykolaiv district:
"Yesterday, December 31, at 11:34 p.m. and today, January 1, at 04:10 a.m., the enemy attacked the port area and the settlement of Ochakiv hromada. Residential and multi-story buildings, an enterprise, were partially destroyed and damaged, and 4 fires were recorded. The consequences of the shelling are being clarified . There are no casualties," Vitaliy Kim wrote.
He added that at 04:50 a.m. Russian troops damaged a residential building of the Kutsurub community. People were not injured.
