Russia shells Mykolaiv region, destroying houses and injuring 7 people

Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolayiv regional military administration, reported the information.

At 2:00 p.m. on December 31, the Russian military hit Mykolaiv with 6 Iskander-type missiles: 2 residential buildings were destroyed, another 12 were damaged, as well as 3 educational institutions.  About 20 buildings were damaged in a garage cooperative, and a fire broke out on its territory.

According to Vitaliy Kim, 7 people were injured in the attack.

The head informed on the shelling of the Mykolaiv district:

 "Yesterday, December 31, at 11:34 p.m. and today, January 1, at 04:10 a.m., the enemy attacked the port area and the settlement of Ochakiv hromada. Residential and multi-story buildings, an enterprise, were partially destroyed and damaged, and 4 fires were recorded. The consequences of the shelling are being clarified . There are no casualties," Vitaliy Kim wrote.

He added that at 04:50 a.m. Russian troops damaged a residential building of the Kutsurub community.  People were not injured.

• On December 31, the Russian military attacked 8 regions of Ukraine: defenders shot down all 13 UAVs launched. Russian troops also launched 31 missile and 12 air strikes.
•  On the night from December 31 to January 1, Russian troops struck Kyiv region and Kyiv city.  Ukrainian air defense eliminated 32 enemy objects.
•  On New Year's Eve, the Russian military shelled the Nikopol district twice, and a 48-year-old woman was injured in an attack on a residential building.
•  Throughout December 31, Russian troops launcher artillery and mortar shelling of cities and villages of the Kharkiv region, in Kupyansk they caused large-scale fires.
