Russia searching for Crimean Tatars who evade service in Russian army in Crimea
Eskender Bariiev, head of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, says that Russia continues its mobilization in Crimea, although not it is not in an active phase
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"Regarding the mobilization in Crimea, Russia began to create military commissions and conduct partial mobilization, distributing more than 60,000 summonses in July. We know that they are now conducting house-to-house visits and collecting information on how many people live in a particular apartment. We also know that the occupiers have a list called List of persons of Crimean Tatar nationality evading service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Therefore, we warn everyone we know in this list that they are wanted, because it is written that these persons are searched for. Thus, mobilization continues, but it is not in an active phase," Eskender Bariiev said.
He summed up that house-to-house visits and data collection, as well as the search for people on the lists are all signs that Russia is trying to replenish the ranks of the armed forces for further deployment to the war in Ukraine.
