Russian military complains about poor quality of DPRK shells
Russian artillerymen in Ukraine complain about the poor quality of shells that North Korea began supplying in 2023
The Moscow Times reports.
The Russian military is armed with Iranian shells, which are praised as "not bad," while North Korean shells are being "cursed." Due to the poor quality of the powder, they are used in situations where accuracy and "the exit of the projectile from the barrel are not particularly important."
Iranian shells leave traces of soot, which requires cleaning the firing pin, but they fly "very well." North Korean shells miss the target because the powder charge in the shell casings often does not correspond to the declared one.
"Absolute sh*t. If a shell hits and explodes, the gun crew celebrates, everyone dances and sings songs of praise for chairman Kim. If the shell misses and falls on our infantry's heads, say thank you to the half-starved Korean teenagers who assembled it for a bowl of rice," said military commander Alexei Larkin. According to him, the Russian army should not expect any high-tech weapons from North Korean manufacturers, "if they are not able to assemble a simple shell for a gun."
