Training warheads of the missile reached the test site in Kamchatka. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that there are no analogues of such a missile in the world. According to preliminary data, they will begin combat duty at the end of the year.
"There are no analogues in the world and will not be for a long time. This unique weapon will strengthen the combat potential of our Armed Forces. It will reliably ensure Russia's security from external threats and make those who, in the heat of insane aggressive rhetoric, try to threaten our country, think twice", Putin said.
He also added that the missile can overcome all modern missile defense systems, and only Russian components, components and parts were used to create it.
The US Department of Defense said that the tests were ordinary and the Russian Federation duly announced the launch.
"Russia has duly informed the United States, in accordance with its obligations under the new START treaty (Russian-American agreement on the reduction of strategic offensive arms - ed.), that it plans to test this intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM)... We do not consider this test a threat for the United States or its allies", Psaki said.
"The department remains focused on Russia's illegal and unprovoked aggression against Ukraine", she added.
