Russia has lost its subjectivity in international politics

Moscow is waiting to hear what Xi has to say to determine its actions

Briefly about the expected "peace proposals" from China regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war.

It is not the content of these proposals, whatever it may be, that is fundamental. Although the expert community agrees that Beijing will limit itself to the usual calls for a ceasefire by both sides. Perhaps, as a curtsy to Putin, it will also offer to fix the current situation "on the ground" as a starting point for negotiations (in the sense that Moscow can claim to continue occupying Ukrainian territory, and this will not hinder the negotiations). But nothing drastic, nothing new and decisive will be proposed.

The most important thing about China's proposals is actually themselves. And the fact that Moscow expects these proposals, relies on them, and is seriously focused on China's position

The most important thing about China's proposals is actually themselves. And the fact that Moscow expects these proposals, relies on them, and is seriously focused on China's position.

Russia has accepted its position as an object, not a subject. In the international arena, and even in a war unleashed by itself. Russia's attitude to China's proposals has been publicly recorded for the world to see: Russia has lost its subjectivity as a state. Whether it has completely lost it or only partially so far is a matter of detail.

The main thing is that this cannot be changed. Putin's aggressive and arrogant policy has undermined all of Russia's efforts to take up the role of the USSR in the international arena and become a significant factor in geopolitics in the region and the world. Thanks to Putin, Russia has lost everything: both its gains and its prospects.

So now it is waiting for what good uncle Xi will say to determine its actions and plans.
