'Ukraine's army launches chaotic attacks on Kursk region civilians': Russian fakes for August 30
The Center for Countering Disinformation has published a selection of anti-Ukrainian fakes and manipulations launched by Russian media on August 30
According to the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation, on August 30, Russian propagandists spread disinformation and fake news.
Disinformation: Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova said: “The United States has actually become a party to the armed conflict around Ukraine.”
Rebuttal: The West is helping Ukraine counter Russian aggression, which is why the Kremlin is furious. In addition, such statements are aimed at creating the illusion that Russia is waging war against the entire Western world.
Fake: The Russian Emergencies Ministry said: "Ukraine's Armed Forces are conducting chaotic attacks on the civilian population of the Kursk region".
Rebuttal: The Ukrainian military complies with international humanitarian law. The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy only enemy manpower and military infrastructure. Such accusations are yet another clumsy attempt to “demonize the Ukrainian Armed Forces.”
- Previously, Russian propaganda spread disinformation that Moscow had always wanted the war in Ukraine to end as soon as possible.
