According to the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation, on August 16, Russian propagandists launched fake news and disinformation.
Fake: Belarusian propaganda Telegram channel wrote: “Belarusian Defense Minister Khrenin said there is a high probability of armed provocations from Ukraine.”
Refutation: Terrorist Russia's satellites continue to follow the instructions of their masters from the Kremlin, revealing fictitious threats from Ukraine to Belarus.
Disinformation: Russian dictator's aide Patrushev said: “The operation in the Kursk region was also planned with the participation of NATO and Western special services.”
Refutation: One of the Kremlin's most common narratives is that Ukraine is “fully under the control of its Western allies,” which is a false claim.
