Russia attacks civilian car, Kherson city center, killing and injuring civilians
On the morning of 31 October, the occupying Russian army shelled the Kherson region, one of the shells hit a civilian car in the suburbs of Kherson, killing the driver
The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported on the shelling.
"The Russian army shelled Dniprovsky district of Kherson. They hit a civilian car. It caught fire due to a shell hit. After the fire was extinguished, the body of the owner was found inside the car," he wrote.
At the same time, the head of the Kherson Regional military administration, Roman Mrochko, said that the tragedy occurred around 10 am in the suburbs of Kherson.
Later, the Prosecutor General's Office said that the car came under fire on the road towards the village of Naddnipryanske. Proceedings have been opened for violation of the laws and customs of war.
Mrochko also reported another shelling, this time of the central district of Kherson.
"Past 11:00 am, Russian occupying troops massively shelled the central district of Kherson. The shelling destroyed warehouses and damaged about 10 cars," he wrote.
According to him, at least one person was wounded - a 34-year-old man who sustained shrapnel injuries to his legs.
As of 2:45 pm, two people have been reported injured in the shelling.
"Two employees were injured. A 34-year-old driver has leg injuries, and a 58-year-old janitor has a head injury. The victims are currently in hospital," Prokudin said.
