Reznikov outlines when he hopes to see tanks promised by partners on Ukrainian battlefield
Defense minister Oleksii Reznikov expressed hope that the tanks promised to Ukraine will be ready for use at the front in March 2023
Reznikov said this in an interview with the Canadian television channel CBC.
He claimed, it would take time to receive the tanks and train the crews to use them. He expressed hope that they would be ready for the spring campaign. He added that the target is set for March.
Also, the defense minister stated that the delivery of the tanks "not the end of the story, it's just the start of the story."
Reznikov claimed he hopes that the new two weeks of discussions with European and North American allies on military aviation will lead to positive results.
The minister reminded that he had written a "wish list to Santa" that includes fighters, combat aircraft and long-range missiles that would allow him to hit Russian fuel and ammunition depots.
Reznikov noted that as the war progressed, military equipment that Ukraine had never had before began to arrive, including anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons, as well as long-range artillery and air defense systems.
"For me, everything that is impossible today will be possible tomorrow. I hope that this year will be a year of victory. We would like victory as soon as possible. The Ukrainian people want it. But we will see," Reznikov summarized.
