Reznikov explains why success of Ukrainian Armed Forces counteroffensive is important for further support of Ukraine
Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said that a successful counteroffensive will help allies to defend the need for further support for Ukraine in their countries
Reznikov said this in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said that a successful counteroffensive will make it easier to advocate for new aid packages for Ukraine in the event of a successful counteroffensive.
"Of course, they are all politicians, they have parliaments behind them, which approve or disapprove some things. And behind the parliaments are voters. Therefore, of course, it will be easier for them to advocate for new aid packages for Ukraine if they have successful cases," Reznikov said.
He called it quite natural that the allies "want to invest in success."
"Therefore, of course, our success will be of great importance for the continuation of such ease of support," Reznikov said.
At the same time, he emphasized that the allies promised to be with Ukraine until the end.
"My partners always say the same thing at all meetings, in phone conversations and at Ramstein: "We are with you to the end, no matter how long it takes. And we see your victory as the end," Reznikov emphasised.
On April 28, Oleksii Reznikov said that the Ukrainian army was finalising preparations for a counteroffensive.
