Reznikov, Austin talk about Ramstein group, Ukraine's need for weapons
Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov has discussed preparations for a new meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in the so-called Ramstein format with the American Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin.

The US Defense Ministry shared the news.
Austin and Reznikov spoke by phone on August 17. The Pentagon noted that the ministers will discuss Ukraine's urgent and long-term needs for security assistance. The Ukrainian Defense Minister informed Austin about the dynamics on the battlefield in Ukraine.
The ministers also discussed the planning of the next meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine, Ramstein-5.
